When you are selling your home and you get your first offer it may be hard to say no to the offer. But often this offer is not a very good deal for you. Though it may be hard to say no you will just have to do it if the offer does not help you financially. There are many ways to say no, but you may want to be a bit courteous when you say not that way the buyer will want to make a new offer.
Try to have a decent vocabulary instead of just flat out saying no. A great word to use is unacceptable. This lets the buyer know that you are not going to go for the offer in a firm yet polite way. If you are with the buyer when they make an offer then you can also try to flinch when they say how much they offer. This way it shows that you were expecting a bit more.
Another thing to do is make a counter offer. Making a counter offer is a great way to make it so in the end both you and the buyer are happy with the money. When making the counter offer do not be rude and make it sound like the lower offer was an insult to you.
If after the counter offer they do not go high enough still you can try two things. The first being you can make another counter offer. This process makes it so in the end it all works out. If you do not believe that the buyer will ever get to a high enough prices it may be a good idea to tell them no way. When you say no way it will let the buyer know that to you their offer is nowhere near how much you know the house is actually worth.
If after all the steps above the buyer may not end up purchasing your house at all. But, this can be a good thing. For example, if you wait another week and another buyer has made an offer on your house and it is much higher than the offer that the previous buyer gave you it was a good deal. If this second offer is pretty good, but you want to try and make them raise the offer just a bit more try making a counter offer. Remember if all else fails you can always say that their first offer is good enough after you thought about it and then you will have your house sold.
